JETE Powerbanks with CCC Certification Safe and Reliable for Travel in China

by arf // in Powerbank

JETE Indonesia – Traveling to China has recently become more complicated for passengers carrying electronic devices, especially power banks. Starting from July 2025, China’s Civil Aviation Administration (CAAC) has enforced strict rules that require all power banks to have CCC certification. This regulation aims to ensure passenger safety after several incidents involving overheating and fires on flights.

In response, JETE Indonesia has introduced two of its power banks that are officially CCC-certified, which are the JETE A15 and JETE B7. These devices comply with Chinese government standards, making them the ideal power banks for travel to China. With CCC-certified products, travelers no longer need to worry about their devices being confiscated or rejected at airport security checkpoints.

Why CCC Certification Matters for Travelers?

In China, electronic products that contain batteries are subject to the China Compulsory Certification (CCC) system. This certification is mandatory and is issued only after the products pass a series of quality and safety tests. Without it, a power bank cannot legally be sold or used in the country.

The CCC logo is easy to recognize. It features three connected “C” letters forming an oval shape, usually printed directly on the product’s surface. If a power bank has only a blurry logo or uses a sticker instead of a proper print, Chinese airport authorities will consider it invalid. For travelers, carrying a non-certified product means the risk of having their power bank confiscated or even being denied boarding.

The New Rule in China and Its Background

The decision to enforce stricter regulations did not come out of nowhere. Between 2024 and mid-2025, China recorded several serious flight incidents caused by faulty power banks. In one case, a China Southern Airlines flight from Hangzhou to Shenzhen was forced to return only 15 minutes after take-off because of smoke coming from a passenger’s battery pack.

Another incident involved Hong Kong Airlines, where a fire broke out mid-flight due to a malfunctioning power bank inside the cabin. These emergencies pushed the CAAC to tighten its rules in order to prevent future accidents. As of June 28, 2025, passengers are prohibited from bringing power banks without CCC certification on domestic flights in China. This rule also applies to international travelers transiting within the country.

JETE A15 Compact and Certified for Safe Travels

The JETE A15 is one of JETE’s power banks that proudly carries the CCC mark. Despite its compact design, it comes with a 10,000mAh capacity, making it ideal for daily travel. It also supports Power Delivery technology, enabling charging speeds up to five times faster when using a Type-C cable.

What makes the JETE A15 stand out is its dual charging mode. Travelers can either use the traditional cable method or opt for magnetic charging by simply attaching a compatible smartphone to the power bank. This feature is particularly useful for iPhone users who prefer wireless charging.

When it comes to portability, the A15 measures only 11 cm long, 7.1 cm wide, and 1.3 cm thick. Weighing just 220 grams, it feels as light as a flagship smartphone such as the iPhone 15 Pro Max or Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. Its lightweight design makes it easy to slip into a pocket, purse, or small travel bag, ensuring you always have backup power during your trip.

For safety, the JETE A15 includes SmartIQ Technology, which automatically adjusts voltage according to the device being charged. This prevents short circuits and potential overheating. On top of that, it offers six layers of protection, ensuring safe usage even inside an airplane cabin.

JETE B7 Small but Powerful

Another travel-friendly option is the JETE B7, which is even more compact than the A15. With dimensions of 7 cm x 6 cm x 2.5 cm and a weight of only 175 grams, it is one of the most portable CCC-certified power banks available. Despite its smaller size, it does not compromise on functionality.

The JETE B7 comes in two capacity options, 10,000mAh and 20,000mAh, giving travelers flexibility depending on their needs. It uses a Type-C cable for charging, and like the A15, it also supports Power Delivery for fast charging. An LED indicator on the body shows the remaining battery level, a practical feature for travelers who want to monitor power usage.

In terms of safety, the B7 shares the same SmartIQ Technology and six-layer protection system as the A15. This ensures the device delivers power efficiently while keeping both the power bank and your devices safe. Whether you are on a short business trip or a long holiday in China, the JETE B7 offers reliability without taking up too much space.

Why Carrying a Non-CCC Power Bank Is Risky

Power banks rely on lithium-ion batteries, which are known to be sensitive under certain conditions. On airplanes, changes in cabin pressure and temperature can cause batteries to overheat. In extreme cases, temperatures can rise to 400 degrees Celsius within minutes, creating the risk of short-circuit fires or explosions.

Without strict quality controls like CCC certification, faulty wiring or substandard materials in power banks can easily lead to dangerous situations. This is why China has taken the issue seriously. For travelers choosing a CCC-certified powerbank for travel to China is not only about convenience at airport checkpoints but also about ensuring personal safety throughout the journey.

Where to Buy JETE CCC Certified Power Banks?

JETE’s CCC-certified power banks are available both online and offline. Travelers can purchase them through JETE Indonesia’s official website, the Doran Gadget app, or popular e-commerce platforms. For those who prefer offline shopping, JETE’s official stores are spread across major cities in Indonesia.

By buying from official channels, customers are guaranteed to receive authentic products with valid certification. This eliminates the risk of getting counterfeit or uncertified items, which could cause problems at airport inspections in China.
